Hey, it's Brent

Hey everyone,

My name's Brent Clapper and I also have another blog called Journey to the Dream, which is going to document my journey as a college student and towards my future as a teen entertainment reporter.

I wanted to start a new blog called the Journey with God, because I wanted to create a new blog where I document my life and my journey with God. My journey with God goes back quite a few years now, and I always will give God the glory in everything that I do. Life isn't easy for us, and through our lives, we will make mistakes. After all, we as humans are not perfect.

So, here's the story about my journey so far. When I was four, I first accepted the Lord into my heart, and even at such a young age, I knew what I was doing. I felt God's presence in my life ever since, but I will admit that during the years that followed, I wasn't as active in my Christian status as I would like to be. In fact, that is one of my regrets in life; Even though I still prayed each night and remembered that God loves me wholeheartedly, I still didn't feel like I was completely there. It felt like my heart was in a different place during that time. At age 13, I started attending Girard Alliance Christian Academy in Girard, Pennsylvania, and I remained there until it closed. This may sound odd, but I believe that God told me to attend that school. It was so convenient for my mom and I because we lived so close to the school, but my mom had wanted me to attend another school in Erie, Pennsylvania (twenty minutes from our home, so it would be a fun commute each day). But, during church service one night, I found myself thinking that the school that my mom wanted me to attend wasn't for me, and I decided to tell her that I wanted to start at Girard Alliance, and she wondered why I wanted to go to that school. The only answer I could think of is that I believed that God wanted me to attend there. During that same church service, I asked God to come back into my life again, and I was ready to rededicate my life to Him.

I have been blessed with a lot of talents, including skills in basketball and in tennis. I also have great skills in creative writing; Last year, I wrote a 339 page story called No Ordinary Girl, which talks about a girl named Sierra who wants to become a star. Finally, God has blessed me with great talents with interviewing, and that is an important skill to have in journalism. I'm not here to brag, but I am glad that I have all of the talents and abilities that God has given me. I hope that all of you will enjoy my blog, because I am so excited about it.

Brent
